Nestled within the picturesque grounds of the Steam Museum in Lodge Park, Barista Bike Cafe offers an inviting retreat for those seeking not only a great cup of coffee but also an experience steeped in warmth and charm. Far from the bustling grind of more commercial establishments, this cafe stands out as a hidden gem in Co. Kildare, enriched by the heritage of the Guinness family property that surrounds it.

The cafe's menu boasts an eclectic mix of international flavors, with a breakfast selection that is served almost all day. Imagine indulging in a delectable Full Irish Breakfast that echoes the comforts of home with a distinctly gourmet twist. Each dish is prepared using top-quality ingredients, and the attention to detail is evident—just as Padraig Brennan noted, the presentation is reminiscent of a cherished family gathering, complete with traditional china that adds a homely touch.

For those craving a lighter option, Barista Bike Cafe's lunch menu celebrates gourmet local fare inspired by the owners' worldly travels. Each dish pairs beautifully with a refreshing side salad, making for a perfect afternoon pick-me-up. With options for vegans and the health-conscious, there’s a little something for everyone—whether it’s a rich quiche like the one Gina and Andy raved about, or the delightful overnight oats enjoyed by Gustavo.

But it’s not just the food that captivates; the atmosphere envelops you in a cozy embrace. The decor, reminiscent of an enchanting tea house, along with friendly, welcoming staff, makes every visit feel special. Customers like Orla Murphy have marveled at the meals’ thoughtful presentation, highlighting a unique twist on traditional dishes that evoke a sense of discovery and excitement.

Adding to the allure, Barista Bike Cafe is designed with community in mind—dog owners will appreciate the cafe's furry companions policy, with treats available to pamper your pooch. It's a true testament to the cafe's ethos of making everyone feel at home, just as Dariusl Tamosauskas experienced during his visits from Dublin, dubbing it “one of the best coffee shops in Ireland.”

Overall, a trip to the Barista Bike Cafe at Steam Museum promises delightful sustenance and an escape into tranquillity, making it a must-visit for both locals and travelers alike. So, whether you’re craving a heartwarming meal or an artisanal brew, take the time to explore this charming spot where every cup and dish is crafted with love and care.

This cafe is a hidden gem!!! The quiche was some of the best I have ever had. Their special tea was served with marmalade and orange slices. Yummy!!! The decor is perfect for a tea house. Best of all the staff was so friendly and welcoming!!! The owner even came to our table for a nice chat. I definitely recommend this cafe!!!!

What a great cafe! It's located in a beautiful property of the Guinness family and has an amazing garden that you can visit. The staff is super sweet and the place is very cosy. It's dog friendly (they brought treats for Tintim on a dish!) and they have many options for vegans. I had a great overnight oats (make sure you order without honey) and a sweet whose name I can't remember. It's not close to Dublin but if you have a car it's well worth the visit!

5-Star Review for Barista Bike Cafe at Steam Museum I stumbled upon this charming spot, and what a delightful surprise! The Barista Bike Cafe at Steam Museum offers a truly exceptional experience. I enjoyed a delicious Full Irish Breakfast paired with an Americano, served with traditional flair reminiscent of my grandmother's best china. The venue is nestled within a beautifully restored old church, set amidst the stunning Steam Museum and Walled Gardens, which were restored and opened by President Mary Robinson in 1992. The gardens are breathtaking, offering beautiful walks and serene surroundings perfect for a leisurely stroll. Although the museum was closed during my visit, the courtyard's charm and the cafe's warm service made for a memorable experience. Highly recommended!

A great spot for lunch or just a cuppa. The food is good quality and consistent. This is my local coffee shop and it never disappoints. Don't be put off by the car park. The area doubles as a salvage yard. Lost one star as the toilets are functional but could do with an uplift.

Happened upon this gem following advice from a local. It is one of the nicest cafes/small restaurants I been to in Ireland. The food was flavoursome, delicious, and a spired by a twist on what you might normally expect. It was beautifully presented and the manager delighted in giving us detail on what each dish contained (e.g only natural sugar used in protein pot etc.) Ate outdoors in the courtyard where it wasn't difficult to pretended that we were in France. The location oozes atmosphere and the location was a pleasant surprise ... the parking area didn't hint at the beauty beyond.
